This presentation focuses on real world examples of how
Expression Blend eliminates the need for time-consuming integration
work between the design and development teams, and empowers the
developer and designer. You will start by learning how Expression
Blend bridges the gap between the designer and the developer,
eliminating the time-consuming task of preparing the design
deliverables for the development team. You will find out how to use
the features of Expression Blend that help segregate control of
visual elements (layout, animations, storyboards and state
transitions) and code, and specifically re-usable behaviors and
controls. Through live demos you will see how designers create
visual elements, then after putting on your developer hat, write
the code for user controls (in Blend and Visual Studio 2010) that
trigger the graphical elements. Finally, you will learn how the
designer is still in complete control of the visual representation
without interfering with the code. You will also see how blend lets
you build controls that are multi-platform, such as deploying to
WPF or Silverlight in the browser.
